Break the Targets, also known as Target Test, is a single-player mini-game in All Star Smashers, originating from the first four instalments of the Super Smash Bros. series. The goal of the game is to smash all 10 targets scattered throughout a special arena as quickly as possible. The game records the shortest time taken to smash all ten targets. If a character has never smashed all the targets, the game will also record how many targets were smashed in that time. There is also a total time that is kept that includes the cumulative time taken to clear every character's stage, which appears only after all characters have cleared their stage.
Every character has their own Target Test, which often require the usage of character-specific techniques in order to complete the test. Some characters' Target Tests reference locations in their own series. Some stages even include images, symbols, or other characters from the character's series of origin. Like with the original Smash Bros. series, the level design may include motifs based on the character's archetype.
If the player self-destructs, the result will be a Failure and no time will be recorded. The number of targets broken will be recorded.

Trivia[]
- For the 10 year anniversary of All Star Smashers, a poll was held to determine which character who already had a moveset would be the first character to receive a Break the Targets video. During the fourth installment of ASStation, the winner was revealed to be not one but three people: Maxwell, Captain Underpants and Go!Caillou. However, only Maxwell will receive a Break the Targets video, while Captain Underpants and Go!Caillou will instead be the stars of two other game modes respectively: Mob Smash and Home Run Contest.
