All Star Smashers Wiki

Donny Dlaven is a fictional character in Sonnyslavenproductions, appearing as the main antagonist, and the evil twin brother and arch enemy of Sonny Slaven. Despite his jovial and cheerful appearance and personality, he is in reality a twisted and evil person who wishes to destroy his brother's reputation, by any means necessary. He is the very insane and mentally deranged children's TV presenter, as the unsettling host of the subverted kids show, Donny's Doll House, where he helps talk to eerily sedate children about issues like bottled up emotions and psychopathy through his lovable cast of characters. He himself also appears to suffer from a severe case of multiple personality disorder, and might possibly be schizophrenic. He appears in All Star Smashers as Sonny's Memory Fighter.

How to unlock[]

Clear Lawl'dventure Mode as Sonny Slaven.

Playstyle[]

In this day and age, Donny Dlaven initially portrays himself as a redeemed criminal, asking for forgiveness. So instead of being a completely competent Sonny, he schemes to potentially assist his victims in order to lure them into danger.

Entrance: LETTING HIM IN!!![]

Donny enters through the door to Donny's Dollhouse while a children's audience cheers for him off-screen.

Move Origin[]

This is based on the beginning of the very first Firefly Funhouse episode, where Bray Wyatt opened the door to the Funhouse while a kids audience cheered for him off-screen. The references to Bray is based on the fact that he was the inspiration for Donny's modern-day character.

Neutral B: Dark Egg Traps[]

Donny summons a black egg. These eggs remain visible and do not break when hit...at least until trespassers are lured in because the first egg is a guaranteed healer. Note that Donny himself cannot heal from it, besides if the first egg's stepped on after a minimum of 15 seconds the stomper's instead granted a power boost, which lasts for another 15 seconds. You may agree that so far, this feels like a pretty useless system. However, this only applies to the first egg. Up to an additional two can be used as shock traps. If Donny's prey don't want to fall for the bait, they'll need to remember the first egg's location. Plus, Donny can swap the eggs around with certain attacks to add to the memory game. Either of the other eggs will evolve as paralysers instead of power boosters. Destroying the egg as an opponent triggers the same stun/paralysis effect respectively, no matter which egg was targeted. The egg cycle does not reset even if they fall out of bounds. Additionally, in any part of the cycle, you can charge your egg for increased effectiveness excluding the healing. But be weary of ambushers from behind. Be careful of recoil after overcharge, and shield to ditch the knockback. In conclusion, only fully charge if attempting a final blow. Again, execute mindfully.

Move Origin[]

While he's never done this in canon, Donny is Sonny's Memory Fighter, meaning he shares certain moves with Sonny, albeit with some differences.

Side-B: Reputation Destruction[]

Donny lunges at the Fat Sandbag, mistaking him for Troll J, while a dust cloud forms as he's beating the Sandbag up. While he's destroying his reputation, nearby opponents will be absorbed into the dust cloud of brutality. No matter how many get sucked into the conflict, Donny can move freely but can't jump nor cancel. If anyone mashes the buttons enough, there is a chance the Sandbag may give them some food. You can use the initial dash to recover, but the conflict descends rapidly. Additionally, any absorbed eggs will affect all prisoners. If no one is caught, said eggs beat on Donny instead.

Move Origin[]

On some occasions, Donny sometimes teams up with fellow SSP antagonist Troll J. But like the rest of the world, Donny also hates Troll J, and frequently beats him up whenever he fails him. The reason why the Fat Sandbag is in this move instead of Troll J is because Troll J is already an Assist Trophy in-game. They also happen to look alike, and it appears that Donny is too stupid and clueless to tell the difference, despite Troll J being older, taller and slimmer than the Fat Sandbag. Additionally, the name of this move comes from Donny's very first SSP appearance, where he claimed that he was out to destroy his brother's reputation, in a parody of a scene from Family Guy.

Up-B: Rae-covery Puppet[]

Donny summons a puppet version of Rachael Slaven to use as a recovery. The gloomy puppet is similar to Fluttershy prior to Sonny's Update Patch. The main difference is that her cheer is replaced by an aloof comment from the puppet, presumably based on the real Rachael.

Move Origin[]

As the description said, this is based on Sonny's Up-B prior to his Update Patch. Puppet Rachael meanwhile, is based on the puppets from the Firefly Funhouse, particularly Abby the Witch.

Down-B: Clone-in-a-Box[]

Donny places a Jack-in-a-Box on the ground, which contains a clone of one of his opponents, which opens up upon contact. However, the clone will actually fight on the opponent's side. The clone will attack using the original's Neutral B, such as Hilary's golf clubs for example. Note that the knockback potential tends to depend on the ally's weight. While the clone resembles whoever was nearest, even if they were distant, the clone will still go after anyone, even their original self. There are two ways for the clone to take Donny's side. Donny can either stand idle near the box long enough before it awakens, or he can place it as soon as someone tries to attack him for an efficient siding counter. Either approach will produce a clone of Donny himself instead. For his attack, the Donny clone adds egg-stra reinforcement to add to the baiting game. The Clone-in-a-Box has a 10 second playtime limit before the clone disappears. However, you can summon a new clone anytime you want.

Move Origin[]

Much like the Neutral B, this move is also similar to Sonny's Down-B, but with key differences.

Final Smash: Too Many Spooks[]

Donny will transform into a ghost. As a ghost, he will slowly traverse around the stage with only vertical control. If he touches someone, he will make them relive dark moments from their past, which varies depending on the person. A list of Donny's traumatic flashbacks can be found here. No matter what the memory is, the victim will be so psychologically broken down to the point that they will be unable to move or even flinch for the next 15 seconds. If the victim has received at least 55% damage during their catatonic state, then Donny's ghost will retreat from their body with a jumpscare, potentially KO'ing them. And if Donny's ghost flies off-screen before making anyone hallucinate, he won't lose a stock as he'll return to his physical body.

Move Origin[]

This moveset is heavily based on the Firefly Funhouse match from WrestleMania 36 between Bray Wyatt and John Cena, where Bray took Cena on a weird and twisted journey, as well as broke him down psychologically.

Angry Boss Codec[]

Angry Boss: Huh? What the hell is this? Who the heck is this deranged manchild with the red sweater vest?

Vam Pire: Believe it or not, that’s Sonny’s evil twin, Donny Dlaven.

Angry Boss: Wait, that’s Donny? What the funk happened to him? Why the heck is he dressed like this?

Vam Pire: Well apparently, he became a children’s TV show host during that time he was away.

Angry Boss: Wait, when was he away?

Vam Pire: I dunno, he just stopped harassing Sonny one time and then he came back looking like this. In the show, he likes painting, gardening, exercising and entertaining kids. But a lot of people think this new attitude and desire to be everybody’s friend is all just a facade.

Angry Boss: You know what? I think I believe them. If I can recall, this character was crazy before, but I think with these puppets, the Mr. Rogers looking attire, and this whole new persona, Donny’s probably as insane as ever.

Vam Pire: Tell me about it, Boss. Seriously, please kick his ass so we can get as far away from-

*A glitch happens and Vam Pire is unexpectedly replaced in the codec with Donny, who’s cackling madly while a kids audience cheers off-screen.*

Donny: HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! YOWIE WOWIE!!!

Angry Boss: *Shocked* WHAT THE FUNK!? WHERE’S MY DEAR BATMAN!?

Donny: Ooh! Look, everyone! It’s my super best friend, the Angry Boss!

*The kids audience cheers again*

Angry Boss: NO, YOU SHUT YOUR MOUTH! YOU SHUT YOUR MOUTH! WE ARE NOT FRIENDS, YOU SICK FREAK! AND HOW DARE YOU HIJACK MY ANALYSIS! AS A MATTER OF FACT, YOU’RE...YOU’RE-

Donny: YOWIE WOWIE! Hold on, Boss! You see... It’s not very nice to talk about someone behind their back. *Sadly* And you and that vampire guy were saying some very mean and hurtful things about me...

*The kids audience awws at this*

Donny: *Cheerful* But I forgive you, Big Bossman! Words don’t mean anything in the end after all! All that really matters at the end of the day, is who dies first! *Giggles*

Angry Boss: ARE YOU THREATENING ME IN MY BUILDING!? FUNK YOU, YOU ROTTEN TOMATO! YOU ARE SO FIRED!

Donny: Oh, silly Boss! You can’t fire me if I don’t work for you, dumbass!

*Donny and the kids audience laugh at Angry Boss*

Donny: But don’t worry! There’s definitely something you and that old noggin of yours can do...

Angry Boss: And what the heck might that be!?

Donny: *Eerily* Let me in.

Angry Boss: What?

Donny: LET...ME...IN.

*Brief pause, Donny looks aggressively at Angry Boss who looks creeped out*

Donny: *Scarily cheerful, waving at Angry Boss* HAHAHAHAHAHA! See you in Hell! Bye, Boss! Bye!

*The screen suddenly goes dark. It turns on again a few seconds later, showing Donny nowhere in sight, leaving AB by himself*

Angry Boss: Where...the hell...is he?

*He looks around, there’s no response*

Angry Boss: Well, that was weird. And where the heck did those kids come from? Funk it, I might as well just end this codec and continue fighting this lunatic.

To Sonny Slaven[]

"HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! YOWIE WOWIE!"

"Donny...? What the bloody hell are you doing here!?"

"It's good to see you again too, Sonny. I mean, look at you. LOOK AT YOU! You're doing great, man!"

"Quit sucking up to me, you sicko! What do you want from me!?"

"I'm gonna stop you right there. You do have me all wrong, Sonny. You see, I'm not sick. You are. I know why you came here, Sonny. And I know why you can't say no."

"Oh, really? Why do you think I'm here? Cause I have no interest in dealing with you right now. So please go away."

"You don't REALLY think we think that you care about this tournament, do we? I mean, Sonny Slaven cares about Sonny Slaven right? And it doesn't matter who he has to smash or bury along the way, as long as he gets his spotlight."

"The hell? That's not true at all!"

"Oh, yes it is! You see, a long time ago, when we were younger, you... You took something from me. And I thought about it a lot. Matter of fact, I thought about it so much, that I wanted to take my hands, and push them into my skull, and smash my brain into a million pieces just so that I could have five seconds of peace, without the voices talking to me. But the voices, they never stopped... And then, something magical happened!"

"What are you going on about? If you're here to fight, get on with it!"

"One day, I...I stopped fighting the voices. And I started listening to them. And they took my crooked little world, and they turned it into a majestic dollhouse! You broke me, Sonny. But the voices... They put me back together. And now, I'm going to break you. This is going to be a slaughter. You just don't know it yet."

"Right, that's it. I'm not just gonna stand here while you keep threatening me. I'm gonna do what I should've done years ago. I'm gonna end the existence of the most over-hyped, over-valued, over-privileged All Star Smasher in existence."

"Let me in, Sonny."
