Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde is a 1988 side-scrolling action video game for the Nintendo Entertainment System loosely based on the 1886 novella Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde by Robert Louis Stevenson. Gameplay alternates between the characters of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde based on the player's ability to either avoid or cause damage. The game initially got mixed reception, but retrospective reviews have been more negative, with reviewers citing bad graphics, confusing gameplay, and poor use of the characters and setting.
Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde (the actual video game cartridge itself) appears in All Star Smashers as a Support Spirit, as a Novice class, where you must fight Lee Saunderson at Future of Framed as a character of your choosing to obtain him. When fighting Lee, he will frequently use taunts, will be distracted by Items, and a tidal wave of Joshua Phones will appear.
- Completing Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde's Spirit Battle will also obtain Chatman.
- In-game, Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde is referred to as Bad NES Game, rather than its actual name. This is because this name was a bit too long to add on the text box without shrinking the words so much.
