The Hairy Thing is an item in All Star Smashers. When holding one of these, they will say the following letters in order, depending on how many times you press the A button: O, U, G and H. These letters acts as projectiles. The more letters said in a row, the longer the opponent in front of you will be stunned for. If all four of these letters are said in a row, the hairy thing will announce "monster words" which damages the opponent and makes them briefly run away.
If not picked up for a while, the Hairy Thing will walk and project these letters on their own.
